Human Centric Lighting: Kobi & Hoa Sen University Inspire Future Generations

On 29 August 2024, we had the honour of sharing our lighting expertise on Human Centric Lighting with the talented students of Hoa Sen University, focusing on an often-overlooked approach to lighting that deserves greater attention.

We exemplify our passion for real light by perfectly dosing it throughout projects, and we actively participate in empowering future generations with lighting skills. For kobi lighting studio, bringing light into Education and inspiring students through lighting designs requires as much meticulousness as composing light and darkness to Enhance People’s Lives, Optimise Organisation Efficiency, and Prevent Light Pollution.

The presentation was shared by kobi lighting studio to guide students’ attention toward an often mentioned but overlooked approach to lighting. Human Centric Lighting – a concept that gained prominence around 2010, is the result of the diligent efforts of researchers and

professionals in lighting design and architecture. This concept goes beyond simply promoting lighting products; it involves a comprehensive understanding of both visual and non-visual effects of light, to promote positive human outcomes.

The presentation emphasised the critical importance of lighting, focusing on human-centric principles. While lighting is often viewed solely in terms of illumination and decoration, Human Centric Lighting demonstrates how intentional lighting design can significantly enhance the human experience.

During the 2-hour presentation, we discussed with teachers and students the journey of building and promoting the development of a new generation of lighting designers. We delightedly answered the creative and proactive questions about Human Centric Lighting.

We hope that through this presentation, we can take a new step on the journey of arousing the spark of passion for real LIGHT among youngerly generations.
