Java Creative Café
• café • artistic space • concept store
Last year, in cooperation with Mrs. Dana Langlois – founder and owner at Java Creative Café, we had planned to design the light for her third Java branch, in Toul Tom Poung. Transformed from an old factory, the owner wanted to keep its existed structure and convert it into a modern café space. The industrial design style was mainly focused on the café and the black box theater.
The lighting has been thought to sublimate art performances of organized events. Taking into account the variety of events and art pieces configurations & installations. Besides, the lighting intention was to create a refresh & cozy ambiance of a modern café. Using the light to connect people with spaces, and creating a community rich in art and activities. Moreover, lights have been designed considering the interior design, sustainable architecture, and also to respect Java’s spirit. We were concerned about not creating further light pollution & disturbances.
