La Table Hanoia

The Hanoï Press Club was founded in the 1990s with the aim of offering a unique and unprecedented experience to entrepreneurs, businessmen and expatriates who would like to share a moment together while enjoying fine cuisine and drinks in an elegant and pleasant setting.
Kobi lighting studio was called by the Hanoï Press Club in the framework of the project La Table Hanoia long after the project had been originally delivered to solve pre-existing lighting issues. We had the opportunity to create an elegant and warm atmosphere in a place with unique features and characterized by its lacquered vaults. We wanted to take advantage of the originality of this decor to elevate the qualitative sensory experience for customers through lighting.
A place with a strong cultural imprint
The Hanoï Press Club is a building steeped in history, housing writers and journalists since the end of the war. It is therefore a culturally oriented and charming place that is in line with other ones in the area. It is a place that favors the gathering of personalities, thus being part of the tradition of this neighborhood. In fact, the Metropole Hotel across the street is known for having hosted public figures since its inception and for allowing them to gather for historic events. We took this into account when designing the lighting of the restaurant La table Hanoia created in 2021 by the Press Club. Through lighting, we wanted to further create an intimate atmosphere that promotes intellectual and social exchanges for the guests.
Lighting that favours a relaxed atmosphere and guarantees the best customer experience
The lighting solutions brought by kobi draws a harmonious cadre which, along with the decoration of the space, adds a sense of modernity and elegance. We have ensured that both customers and employees are bathed in relaxing light in the evening, while maintaining a sophisticated vibe during the day. The natural light blends well with the predominantly green decorations while the arches are reminiscent of the undulations of leaves and waves. It was also important for us to guarantee the adaptability of the lights to allow customers to enjoy the right light and employees to work in pleasant conditions at all times.
Lighting that highlights the beauty of the setting
We sought to create a lighting that would match the originality of La table Hanoia’s decor. Indeed, in order to sublimate the lacquered vaults, we created a custom lighting, exceptional for its length and its changing reflections. The vaults allowed us to create a light that propagates by creating several atmospheres.
The designer of the project, G8A group, wished to integrate the lacquered vaults in the project thus allowing to mix the colonial past and the Vietnamese craft industry while adding modernity, freshness.
Following the desire to sublimate the unique decor :
The ray of light reflected by the lacquered vaults that we have illuminated along the entire length of the room provides an additional touch of modernity. These vaults give us an instant feeling of serenity, like a celestial vault. This original shape also allowed us to explore new design possibilities. We were able to create effects with the light as it is reflected as a halo in the rounded arches. The viewer is irresistibly drawn towards the sky by these curves of light.”
We sought to enhance the lacquered vault while creating a pleasant atmosphere that promotes a quality experience for customers.
In the end, the lighting vision has been achieved and should enable Mekong Capital to open a new chapter in their history as a vision fulfilment center.
