Porsche Center Saigon II
• luxury retail • sophisticated lighting • brand identity •
As the new showroom has officially launched in HCMC, kobi lighting studio is proud to present its innovative lighting design respecting the brand’s new showroom concept : the ‘Destination Porsche’ identity. Porsche Center Saigon – the first showroom of the kind in Asia Pacific – heralds the start of a new era for Porsche.
“Where lighting and new standards converge to set a leading benchmark for high-class automotive Showroom in Vietnam.” – kobi lighting vision
For each of the areas to be lit, from the showroom to the vehicle display, through the service and workshop, the sales office, to the importer’s office, we have deliberately imagined a highly visible shift from one area to another.
The kobi lighting design team worked together with Porsche to create a revolutionary lighting concept that respects Porsche’s profound history and follows the new Porsche Design & Lighting Handbooks. The very essence of lighting design is to understand and read the aesthetics of the space and of the objects to be lit. Lighting needs to enhance and faithfully reflect the premium brand image and what it stands for. Multi-type and advanced lighting solutions have been installed for each zone to adapt to the architecture and interior spaces, giving the most welcoming, sporty, dynamic and attractive to its customers.
Precision lighting to reveal luxury cars
Precise, neat and crisp light ensures high color accuracy and level of detail. The light emphasizes and enhances the sleek appearance of the body, wheels and upholstery. The car’s paint finish is further enhanced by track lights that provide the highest color rendering to give the cars’ glossy polished surfaces a sparkling lighting effect, while receiving less glare and unwanted reflections.
”Sporty light” & Porsche customer journey
Part of our lighting concept was focused on the notion of “Sporty Light” which reveals the characteristic performance of Porsche cars & their DNA while offering a unique lighting experience that strengthens Porsche’s community and brand awareness in Southeast Asia. The light in this project not only plays a major role because it contributes to the general impression of the customer and the communication of the values of the brand. Lighting design improves the buying experience for the customer and strengthens the organization of the space by enhancing focus areas. In the end, the light leads the customer journey and impacts the efficiency of the sales area by improving the conditions of sale. Lighting helps connecting Porsche products to their customers.
Façades
Designed to look powerful and be energy efficient, the building’s large curved silver aluminum facade with extensive use of glass and high-performance metallic finishes was intentionally lit with fewer light fixtures. The lights shooting from the interior were the main focus point, giving the exterior appearance a subtle and slightly noticeable effect. Besides the unique facade, the exterior signage has also been taken into account and brightened up to create exceptional recognition value, optimally guiding visitors to the site in a clearly structured way.
Chill-out zones
Areas such as waiting space and where car buying and deals are discussed and signed are installed with 3000K of downlights, to create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. In the main showroom, the scallop effects caused by downlights and track lights have been reduced to bring a smooth, cozy and luxurious look.
Human-Centric lighting
In addition, the light takes into account the well-being of sales representatives and customers. The lighting scenes adapt to different times of the day and night to maintain the energy of the showroom employees.
Light & Efficiency
Mimicking the high-performance essence of Porsche cars and in order to reduce energy consumption while minimizing maintenance, we implemented advanced LED solutions for the showroom. The lighting of the showroom is controlled by a DALI control system with a timer and various preset scenes to present the cars in a high quality context, but also provide a platform for various events and activities.
Between performance, exclusivity, innovation, attractiveness and sophistication, the Porsche showroom in Saigon is finely lit in the state-of-the-art and respects the brand’s German standards. However, the Porsche adventure does not end there. The quality of kobi’s services is ensured by continuous monitoring of on-site lighting, a concern for customer satisfaction and continued support, collaboration and advices to our customers.
