This contemporary & low energy villa is purpose-built to be the first LEED Platinum Residential building in Vietnam. Sitting on the existing Thao Dien site, the project is a luxury, and sustainable private residence embracing natural materials and bioclimatic solutions.
Upon the request of our client, we created a lighting design concept that melds contemporary & tropical-style architecture and luxury amiable light, in order to create an open space that giving the feeling of flexibility, relaxation, but still privacy to our client.
The lighting design vision for this project is a symbiotic light for more serenity, combined with a scenography light for the pleasure of eyes. All spaces are connected by delicate lights with an appropriate light color, contrast, brightness, and a balance of lighting distribution. With these elements, we created a warm and welcoming ambiance to the general spaces, established a comfort connection between the residents and their living environment, while preserving people’s quietude and fostering wellness.
Moreover, the villa’s contemporary style is brought to life by a vibrant lighting scheme, utilizing many different types of lighting effects, and giving the space an outstanding look for admiration of Nature and Exceptional decorative objects.
The entrance hall was bright up by a warm and noticeable lighting effect to mark the first impression of the new arriver, while the staircase appears as a floating silk illuminated under impressive & elegant pendant light, hanging from the upper floor adds further depth to the scheme. We also created a special lighting effect, called the Moonlight concept for this area. Kindly click here for more information about this concept.
To blur out the boundaries between outdoor and indoor spaces, delicate lights were used to offer the residents all the comforts, warmth, and relaxation during day and night. The upstairs bedroom has an inviting and sensual atmosphere, with different scenes and different types of lighting. The light is designed to be flexible following the users’ demands. We adjusted the light color with a warm and cozy tone, while the contrast is well-controlled and an application of indirect lights is recommended to reduce glare. The whole villa is decorated with luxury and majesty of interior lighting collections, using airiness curves and classic & minimalist style.
The entire lighting scheme is carefully designed to ensure it not only complements the architecture but enhances it. This project has an exterior looking that mainly illuminated by its interior, in order to keep a clear view of the sky, avoid disrupting ecosystems, limit light pollution, provide good impacts to residents’ wellness and minimize energy consumption. We meticulously chose lighting areas to brighten or dim in order to eliminate problematic reflections while retaining functional landscape illumination, so that residents would be able to experience harmoniously connection from the front gate to the interior, along a magnificent landscape.
The project demonstrates how imaginative and creative effect lighting can bring a whole property to life, when carefully integrated with the architectural and interior design. In this project, the light relies on natural elements. Soft lights allow people to enjoy the views and be in harmony with the surrounding landscape. Light also relies on architectural elements which bring out a specular feeling. Decorative lights with random shadows effects for relaxation and cozy ambiance.
