Stained glass: art of color and light
Located on the rooftop of 20 Jay Street, Dumbo, Brooklyn USA. This water tower of the artist Tom FRUIN is considered as an iconic water tower of New York and a symbol of the vibrancy of Brooklyn.

Tom made the water tower by thousand individual pieces of colorful salvaged Plexiglas with steel bands and cooperated with Ryan HOLSOPPLE to design custom-designed lighting for it.

During the daytime, this sculptural artwork creates a kaleidoscopic effect when the sunlight illuminates it through the stained-glass windows. And at nighttime, the water tower lights up the night sky, creating a vivid atmosphere around it.
